First try at a slideshow

Gasp! The first slideshow! Here is a lovely bit of slideshow from the Aluffi wedding from earlier this month. Note the full contact nature of the bouquet toss and subsequent victory dance. Awesome.

Welcome to the first post on the Sandal-Impressions blog. This is a place where Kyle and I will post some of our favorite pictures. Randomly, I'm just going to start with a few pictures I took last week when I took a trip to Brentwood, CA to pick some fruit right off the tree. Right here are some apricots that mere moments after this picture was taken, disappeared into my apricot bucket. Oh yeah, here's the bucket. Chock full o' apricots. I love this picture looking down the orchard at a family picking fruit.
After getting my minimum 5 lbs of apricots I moved on to necarines and peaches.Maybe it's just me, but it bugs me how much fruit ends up on the ground... seems like a lot, and none of it gets eaten. I guess this is partly because my wee little fruit trees have so little fruit that any piece that falls on the ground is between 1-5% of the total output. When you have thousands of giant fruit trees though, this probably becomes less of an issue.
Oh yeah, and check this place out. I was leaving Brentwood by the north on Hwy 4 and I found this off the road by the railroad tracks. Totally sweet rusty stuff:

I'm not really sure what these things were in their former life. No doubt some kind of farm equipment that an urbanite elitist like myself couldn't understand.

Look! It's Otto waiting patiently for me to return from my photographery.
